  • If We Have To Wait Then The Cross Isn’t Our Access

    If I were to go into any church and ask, “How many of you believe that at the cross, Jesus’ payment was once for all time?” I would get rousing amens. And if I said, “How many of you believe that the cross is our only access to the grace of God?” I would get applause in agreement. And yet, if I said, “Won’t it be great when we finally get to Heaven, and experience perfection?” I would still get the same agreement from people, longing for something in the future. But these things are actually a contradiction.

  • Don’t Doubt His Ability To Minister Through You

    Too many people leave ministry — like healing, casting out demons, service, encouragement — to the “big shots” in the church. Christians often compare what they have seen in their life so far, with what those ministers are seeing in their life, so they disqualify themselves from ministering in certain capacities. This may not be a conscious decision, but when you look at someone else ministering by the Spirit and are only thinking about your flesh, you slip into disqualifying yourself.
