Kingdom Came – Part 1: The Hidden Kingdom (Basic Training)

In this training we discuss how Jesus truly came to establish a kingdom on earth in His first coming, but it’s inside of us first.

This article summarizes many hours of teaching from Reform Church and is taken from our Journey Bible Curriculum (available on our store).

Chapter 1:
Waiting On The Kingdom

Whether Jew or Christian, people don’t typically believe that Jesus came to establish His kingdom on this earth in His first coming.

The Jews were waiting for a kingdom to be established on earth, but because they didn’t see Jesus do that, they discounted Him as the Messiah.

Christians accept Jesus as the Messiah, but because they also didn’t see Jesus establish a kingdom on earth, they assume “Jesus didn’t come for that purpose. He’ll do that in His second coming. He just came to reign in our hearts,” or something to that effect. You may have even heard a preacher say, “The Jews were waiting for a Messiah to save them from Roman oppression, to set up a kingdom on earth, but that’s not why Jesus came.” Actually, quite the contrary. Jesus did come to establish a kingdom on this earth. I don’t mean an earthly kingdom, but a kingdom on earth, nonetheless. And that would have saved the Jews from Roman oppression as well (Deuteronomy 28:1).

The moral of the story is, the Jew and the Christian both didn’t see Jesus set up a kingdom on earth, and although they deal with it in different ways, they both discount that Jesus ever came for such a purpose. As we will see in this article, both are mistaken. Jesus did come to establish His kingdom on this earth, but it’s unseen at first. That’s why they missed it.

What is the kingdom?

First of all, let’s establish what “God’s kingdom” even means. It’s unclear to a lot of people and was to me for many years.

In short, the kingdom of God is wherever the will of God is done perfectly. That’s pretty easy.

We’ll talk more about the context of this scripture later, but Jesus uses the term “kingdom” and “your will” interchangeably.

Matthew 6:10 (NKJV) Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

The kingdom of God is wherever His will is done perfectly. That’s why, for instance, Heaven is called the kingdom of God, but the earth is not. I don’t mean that God doesn’t have authority over the earth, but it’s not called His kingdom yet, because His will is not being done perfectly on earth (not even close – Hebrews 2:8, 5).

We’ll discuss this more later, but the Bible says when Jesus comes back again “the kingdoms of the world will become the kingdoms of God.” That means the earth is not God’s kingdom yet.

Revelation 11:15 (NKJV) …”The kingdoms of this world have become [at that point] the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ…

When we say something is “God’s kingdom” we’re saying more than, “He has authority over it.” We’re saying that this thing is submitted to the will of God perfectly. Although God has authority over the whole universe, both nature and human beings are not submitted to His will yet. Things on earth are not the way God wants them to be. Although, we will soon find out how to change that.

Some qualities of the kingdom of God (or the will of God) are joy, peace, and things being right (Romans 14:17); things like health, power, and living forever (Luke 10:8-9; 1 Corinthians 4:20; Deuteronomy 11:21). Any place that has all these qualities is the kingdom of God.

On the other hand, some things you’ll never find in the kingdom of God is death, sorrow, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). If you see these things somewhere, that’s not the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God isn’t defined by certain borders, as if it were only in one spot. The kingdom of God is defined by its characteristics. Wherever the will of God is perfectly done, that’s His kingdom.

Chapter 2:
Jesus’ Death Provided The Kingdom

Most people don’t realize the power of Jesus’ death. When Jesus died, He took on Himself all the problems of this present world, to redeem us from them. Then, He paid for us to have all the qualities of the kingdom of God.

This next scripture is referring to Jesus’ first coming, look at what it says:

Revelation 12:10 (KJV) …Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ…

This says, “Now is come… the kingdom of our God.” He says the kingdom of God has come now. This is referring to Jesus’ first coming. There is much more proof for this, but it even speaks of Jesus’ birth and ascension if you read the whole chapter.

Jesus’ death is the access to all the glory of Heaven (the kingdom of God). This won’t make sense to most people, but for those who understand, that’s why He’s called a door to enter the upper fold (Heaven) in John 10. That’s why He’s called Wisdom, calling out for people to enter the Gate to the High Hill (Heaven) in Proverbs 8. And that’s why His death is called the torn veil for us to access the holiest place. Let’s explain that last one a bit.

In the Old Testament there was a tabernacle and then a temple later. They both had two rooms. The first room was called “The Holy Place” and the second room was called “The Holiest” (or the Most Holy Place). There was a veil, or a curtain, separating the two rooms, covering the way into that “holiest” room.

Most people believe that “the Holiest” represents the presence of God. That’s not too far away, but that’s not quite right. “The Holiest” represents Heaven itself.

Hebrews 9:24 (NKJV) For Christ has not entered the holy places [referring to the Holiest] made with hands… but into heaven itself…

Well, something interesting happened when Jesus died. God tore that veil, exposing that holiest room (Matthew 27:51). Why would God do that? Well, once you know that the holiest represents Heaven, God is showing us that at the point of Jesus’ death, Heaven was now accessible.

In fact, the Bible says that the veil that was torn, which exposed that holiest room, represents Jesus’ body. The same way that veil was torn to expose the holiest, so Jesus’ body was torn for us to provide access to Heaven (the kingdom of God).

Hebrews 10:19-20 (NKJV) Therefore, brethren, having [present tense] boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

This is saying that because Jesus died for us, we currently, present tense, have boldness to enter the things of Heaven (the holiest). Most Christians are waiting to go to Heaven after they die, but this verse says that we have boldness to enter the things of Heaven because Jesus died! You don’t need to wait for your own death to enter Heaven. God forbid. It’s Jesus’ death that gives you access to Heaven, and He already died 2,000 years ago (Hebrews 9:16-17)!

The point I’m trying to make is, Jesus’ death is what provides us access to the kingdom of God, not His second coming. God will never tear the veil again. God will never send His Son to pay another price again. Whatever was going to be provided, has already been provided at the cross.

Luke 12:32 (NKJV) “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Jesus’ death provided access to all the wonderful qualities of Heaven so that we can experience every one of them on this earth. Jesus provided this kingdom for us to experience now. That was Jesus’ intention. Here’s the question: If that’s so, where is it?

Chapter 3:
The Hidden Kingdom

Jesus’ death provided the entirety of His kingdom to us. In fact, it’s already here. Why might you not see it? Because here’s how it works:

First, Jesus puts the qualities of His kingdom inside of you.
Then, His plan is for you to release that kingdom on the earth, changing the form of the earth around you, into that of Heaven.

That may sound strange to some people but let me show you some scriptures.

Before Jesus died, He came announcing that the kingdom of God was near! Both He and John the Baptist were telling everyone that the time was fulfilled for the kingdom of God to come! Mind you, this was His first coming:

Mark 1:14-15 (Literal Standard Version) …Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near, convert and believe in the good news.”

Also see Matthew 3:1-2, 4:17.

Unfortunately, many people were underwhelmed when Jesus came, died, rose, and then went back to Heaven. They didn’t see any kingdom established on the earth. What’s up with that? Jesus announced it was near. Then He left, and what? Where is it?

Many Jews decided to disregard Jesus as the Messiah. And Christian’s decided that Jesus never came to establish a kingdom on earth. But Jesus said the kingdom of God would be put inside of us first, completely unseen to the naked eye, and then it would appear and be released gradually as we understood it!

Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV) Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Wow! Jesus is saying, “Don’t think the kingdom of God hasn’t come just because you can’t see it. It won’t come in a way that you can observe it — at least not at first. You won’t be able to point to it and say ‘Here,’ or ‘There,’ because when I bring the kingdom, it’s going to be within you.”

Now, let’s read just two chapters later…

Luke 19:11 (NKJV) …He [Jesus] spoke another parable… because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.

Wow again! It says that people thought the kingdom would “appear” immediately. Now, be very careful to note His wording. He did not say the kingdom of God would not come immediately. It truly did come immediately. When Jesus died on the cross, He provided all the glory of Heaven to us immediately. No, this verse doesn’t say His kingdom wouldn’t come immediately. It says it wouldn’t “appear” immediately. That means it wouldn’t be visible immediately. You wouldn’t see it at first. This goes hand-in-hand with what we read before in Luke 17:20. Jesus said the kingdom of God would come, but it wouldn’t be observable because it’s placed inside of us at first. It doesn’t “appear” immediately, but it is, indeed, here.

For every born-again believer the kingdom of God has been placed inside of you. All the attributes and characteristics of Heaven have been placed in you when you first received Jesus.

Chapter 4:
Your Spirit Is Of Heaven

When we say the kingdom of God was placed inside of us, what does this actually mean? Well, it’s not as if the various beings and places in Heaven fell out of the sky to live in us. No, Heaven was placed inside of you by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit contains all the attributes of Heaven. Every good quality of the kingdom of God is in the Holy Spirit – life, health, peace, joy – He’s got it. Therefore, if the Holy Spirit lives in you, then the kingdom of God is in you!

Romans 14:17 (NKJV) for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking [not earthly things], but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

This says that the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Holy Spirit in you IS the kingdom of God in you.The Holy Spirit contains the attributes of the kingdom, and because He lives in you, the kingdom lives in you.

But let’s go a step further. It’s more than that. The Holy Spirit is full of the characteristics of Heaven, but when He came to live inside of you, He infused all these characteristics into your own personal spirit as well.

It’s important to know, you are three parts: You have a soul (mind), a body, and a spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Your spirit is the unseen part of you, inside your body.

When you first believe, the Holy Spirit brings all the qualities of Heaven down to you and infuses your spirit with these qualities. Now, your spirit has been born again in the likeness of Heaven (John 3:6)! It’s not just the Holy Spirit who contains the attributes of Heaven now. Your own personal spirit contains these attributes as well (1 Corinthians 6:17)!

If you ask your average Christian if they’re part of the kingdom of God, they will always answer, “Yes.” But they usually don’t understand the power that entails. Neither do they know which part of them is of the kingdom. It’s your spirit!

When you first get saved, your body and mind are not a part of the kingdom yet. They can be soon, but when you get saved it’s your spirit that becomes a part of the kingdom. That’s what Jesus meant when He said, “the kingdom of God is within you.” He’s referring to your spirit (which was recreated by the Holy Spirit).

Hebrews 12 speaks of “Mount Zion” (which is just a symbolic name for Heaven). Then He names all the citizens of Mount Zion. Guess who one of the citizens are? Your spirit!

Hebrews 12:18-23 (NKJV) For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched [not a physical mountain]… But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church… to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus…

He names all the citizens of Heaven — the angels, God, Jesus, and He names the church, but specifically names “the spirits” of the righteous. Why? Because it’s your spirit within you that is a part of Heaven now. Your body and mind don’t immediately receive that likeness, but your spirit has all of it. The kingdom (Mount Zion) is within you!

Once you know that Heaven is inside of you, you start realizing the meaning of certain scriptures like these:

If you read Ephesians 1:3 it says that we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies. Then if you read just a few verses later, in Ephesians 1:18, it says that our inheritance is inside of us.Well, which is it? In Heaven or in us? It’s one and the same. Inside of you is called Heaven.

If you read Hebrews 10:34 in the LSV or YLT translations, they preserve the original order of the words of this verse. When you read it in the correct order, it says that you have “in yourselves a better substance in the heavens.” It calls within you “the heavens.”

And lastly, if you read Colossians 1:4, it says there’s a hope laid up for you in Heaven. But if you continue reading until Colossians 1:27 it says that the hope of glory is Christ in you! First, it says the hope is in Heaven. Then it says the hope is in you! Same thing.

The kingdom of God has been right under our noses this whole time and we just didn’t realize it. The good news is, Jesus didn’t just come to put the kingdom in you (Hebrews 3:1). It’s in your spirit, but He wants that to manifest into your mind, body, and life as well. Let’s do it!

Chapter 5:
In Then Out

Before, in Luke 19, it said that people thought the “kingdom of God would appear immediately.” Let me point out one more thing. This is saying that the kingdom of God does indeed appear (or manifest) from within us. He just says it doesn’t happen immediately. This verse is telling us that the kingdom does “appear.” It does manifest. It does come out. That’s exciting.

There’s a very simple principle about how our inheritance works:

First, it’s in you.
Then it comes out.

This is vitally important.

Jesus lays out this principle in John 4. He says that when He gives us His Spirit (all the attributes of the kingdom), there would be two “phases” to the Holy Spirit:

First, we’d drink Him in (receive the Spirit inside us)
Then He would become a fountain in us, springing up (manifested on the outside, in our life).

John 4:14 (NKJV)

…whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst [drinks of the Spirit – phase 1].

But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life [Spirit springing up – Phase 2].”

Jesus makes it very clear that the Spirit is in you first, completely unseen before He ever springs up and starts producing things in your life. Those are the two phases. John 7:37-38 speaks about the same thing. It says you drink the Spirit in first. Then He comes out of your belly (manifests from within you). Pretty simple.

But how do we allow the Holy Spirit (all the attributes of the kingdom) to come out of us and start affecting our lives! John 7:38 also tells us how we do this. Jesus says it’s when we believe Him that the Holy Spirit goes from being in us to coming out of us!

John 7:38 (KJV) He that believeth on me [Jesus], as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

You, see? It’s through belief in Jesus that the Spirit flows out of us. If you’re a Christian, you certainly believe Jesus to some extent, but most Christians don’t know what they have inside them. They have not yet believed all the wonderful things God put there, and that’s why they’re not flowing out. You only need to acknowledge the qualities of the kingdom within you. Then, when you believe what you have, out of your belly they will flow! But you need to acknowledge every good thing within you before they are ever made effectual in your life (Philemon 1:6)!

It’s not through your works. It’s not through anything you offer to God. All the qualities of the kingdom will flow out of you through simple knowledge. God just wants you to know what Jesus put in you, through the cross.

Chapter 6:
Releasing The Kingdom

Now we know how to release the qualities of the kingdom in us. So, what does it look like to release it? It looks like your life, your body, and your mind looking more and more like Heaven (because your spirit is already like Heaven). The attributes and characteristics of Heaven begin being established on this earth.

When Jesus told His disciples to go into a city and heal the sick, He also told them to announce to the people that “the kingdom of God has come near you.” Why? Because when you manifest healing, for instance, that’s an attribute of the kingdom coming out of you and affecting the earth around you. You are establishing Heaven on the earth.

Luke 10:8-9 (NKJV) Whatever city you enter… heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

Many Christians know about healing, but they don’t recognize it as just a small part of Heaven being established on the earth. It’s not just about healing. It’s about establishing Heaven on earth. Granted, the disciples at the time didn’t have the kingdom permanently inside them (because Jesus hadn’t paid for it yet), but it was the kingdom working in them, nonetheless.

When Jesus cast out demons from people, relieving them of the torment of that evil, He called that the kingdom of God having come upon them. Why? Because that’s a manifestation of the kingdom of God appearing in the earth, ridding the earth of evil.

Luke 11:20 (NKJV) But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Also, God says that your days can be as many as the days of Heaven. That’s a really long life! Again, this is an attribute of Heaven (namely, immortality) that can work in your body so that your life starts looking like Heaven, even in longevity.

Deuteronomy 11:21 (NKJV) …that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied [referring to the quantity]… like the days of the heavens above the earth.

Now, if you’re on board with this so far, this may surprise you, but I’m not saying everyone’s circumstances on the earth can be changed. Why? Because many people, in their unbelief, don’t receive these things. But as far as it pertains to you, you can turn the things of earth into Heaven now.

God isn’t limiting Heaven on earth. He’s the One who sent His Son to bring the kingdom. It’s people’s ignorance and unreceptiveness that limits Heaven coming into the earth. That’s why the kingdom will only take over the entire earth at Jesus’ second coming. Because at that point, all unbelievers will have been removed and destroyed with the earth (contrary to God’s will). Then, the kingdom will be able to spread through creation unhindered. We will discuss this far more in our next article.

The point is, the kingdom is released through knowledge, and if everyone doesn’t know Jesus, then the kingdom can’t spread into everyone’s circumstances. But, for those who choose to believe this truth, the kingdom will spread into your life and the earth around you, despite what’s going on in the world. It will start looking like you’re living in a little “Heaven bubble “on earth (Psalms 91:7-10)!

Know this: There is no limit to the amount of Heaven you can release — no limit, except for what you will believe.

This next verse makes it very clear that God intends His heavenly kingdom (His will) to be established on the earth now.

Matthew 6:10 (NKJV) Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Here’s an important point: It would be incorrect for a new covenant believer to pray, “Your kingdom come.” His kingdom already came! It was accurate for the disciples to pray that at the time because that was in the Old Testament, before Jesus died (despite the division in your Bible). This is no longer accurate to pray today. The kingdom already came. But if you’ll notice, there’s another step to this. He also told His disciples to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” That’s a second step, and that hasn’t happened in full yet. God’s will is done on earth gradually as we believe! So, it’s OK to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven,” but as for the kingdom, that’s already come.

As you understand the kingdom in you, it won’t just be in you. God’s will (His kingdom) will also be done on earth around you, as it is in Heaven. Do you understand what that means? He said, “As it is in Heaven.” That means your life on earth can look exactly the way it does in Heaven. Take that for all it means! You’ve already got Heaven in your spirit and God didn’t intend for it to sit there.

I don’t believe most Christians understand the power of what they have inside of them. God put Heaven in you and made you a conduit through which Heaven can be established on the earth. These are real, tangible things that happen on this planet.

That means “righteousness, peace, and joy” manifesting on the earth (Romans 14:17). That means “no more physical death, sorrow, crying, or pain” (Revelation 21:4). That means no more growing old (Psalms 103:5). That means no more end of life (John 11:23-26). No more sickness or disease. No more sin, or wars, or fighting. Even many Christians would say that’s a fantasy. But that’s not a fantasy. That’s the kingdom of God. And God intended it to come out of your belly.

We will discuss more in our next journey, but there is no limit to how much Heaven you can live in on this earth, except the limit you place on God by your own beliefs. The only reason the entire earth isn’t swallowed up with the life of God right now is because of people’s ignorance to what Jesus has done (Ephesians 4:18, Isaiah 11:9).

Chapter 7:
The Keys To Release The Kingdom

We said that knowledge is how you release the good things within you. In closing, let’s see how knowledge is like a key that unlocks all the kingdom of God within you.

First, let’s compare two scriptures. They are the same message that Jesus preached, but in two different gospels.

Matthew 23:13 (NKJV) “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

You see that Jesus told the Pharisees that they “shut up the kingdom of Heaven” so that people can’t go in. Keep that in mind. Now, let’s see how Jesus is quoted in the book of Luke:

Luke 11:52 (NKJV) “Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

In the first verse, He said they were “shutting up the kingdom” so people couldn’t go in. In the second verse, speaking about the same thing, He said they “took away the key of knowledge.” Mush all of that together and what do you get? The way that people enter the kingdom of God is by knowledge! Knowledge is the key that allows people to enter the kingdom.

Your spirit is already a part of the kingdom, but how did it get there? Knowledge. Belief. You believed in Jesus at salvation, and boom, you entered the kingdom of Heaven — particularly your spirit. But knowledge was the key that got you there.

Now, if you want the kingdom of God to come out, so that your body, mind, and this earth can enter also, what do you think you need? The same thing. Knowledge. We need to understand the kingdom that’s inside of us. Knowledge is the key to receive the kingdom!

Imagine you’ve got a door on your belly to all the kingdom within you. When you know what you have, it’s like taking a key and unlocking all of Heaven from within you! That’s what Jesus meant when He told Simon Peter he could bind or loose Heaven.

First, Simon Peter speaks of his revelation of who Jesus is. Immediately after Jesus sees Simon’s understanding, He tells Simon this:

Matthew 16:17-19 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon… for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven… And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Here’s the thing: we already know what the keys to the kingdom of Heaven are because we just read about it. It’s knowledge. This passage has been taught a lot of different ways, but those keys are referring to knowledge of Jesus. And that fits the context perfectly because Simon had a revelation of Jesus. Then Jesus starts talking about the keys. Simon’s revelation was the key.

Here’s what Jesus was saying, plain and simple: On earth, right now, you can bind or loose Heaven. How? Through knowledge. If you understand what Jesus provided at the cross, you will loose Heaven through that knowledge. If you don’t understand what Jesus did, you will bind up Heaven, not allowing it to come into the earth.

Jesus came and provided the kingdom of Heaven to everyone through His death, but people have to know that in order to receive it. We first received the kingdom into our spirit through knowledge. Likewise, we also loose the kingdom of Heaven from within us through knowledge. Knowledge is the key.

As we said at the beginning, Jesus did indeed come to bring a kingdom to be established on the earth. He wants His will to be done on earth the same way it is in Heaven. The Jews didn’t see it, so they rejected Jesus. Christians don’t see it, so they assume it wasn’t His purpose. Neither realized that Jesus brought the fullness of His kingdom, but He came to put it inside of us, in hopes that we would believe it and release it into our lives and upon this earth. The Jews are waiting for the kingdom of the Messiah. The Christians are waiting for the kingdom in Jesus’ second coming. But the kingdom isn’t coming. The kingdom came.

Chapter 8:
Questions & Answers

Why does Jesus say “the kingdom of God is within you” to the Pharisees? They were notorious for not believing in Jesus.

Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV) Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Firstly, it’s not that no Pharisee ever received salvation. More importantly, we need to know that the kingdom of God had not come yet for anyone (in that New Testament way, to live inside of us permanently). It had not been paid for the cross yet. The kingdom (the Spirit) came to live permanently inside of people in Acts 2. Knowing this, Jesus could not be saying the kingdom was presently in the Pharisees because the kingdom wasn’t permanently in anyone.

When He says, “the kingdom of God is within you” He’s just explaining how it will be in that future scenario, when the kingdom comes. As if to say, “When the kingdom comes, the kingdom is within you first.” For instance, let’s say an unbeliever comes to me. They aren’t saved. They want to receive the spirit, but first they want to know how it works. I could say, “When you believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit is within you.” Now, the Holy Spirit is not in them, but I’m talking about how it will be in that future scenario. I believe Jesus is doing the same thing. He’s saying, “When the kingdom comes, it’s within you first.” Not that the kingdom was in anyone at the time (in the New Testament way).

Why do some verses about Jesus’ second coming make it sound like we will receive the kingdom then?

The answer is simple. The kingdom was provided when Jesus died. We have it inside of us and can release that into our lives without limit. But as we said before, the kingdom of God will not spread over this entire earth until Jesus comes back again (due to the unbelief of other people on the earth now, hindering Heaven – Ephesians 4:18).

Any scriptures that speak about the kingdom coming or appearing at Jesus’ second coming, are talking about how the kingdom will be manifested to the earth on that day. It’s not saying the kingdom of God arrives on that day — we know it came through Jesus’ death – only that the whole planet receives it on that day. The kingdom has come to all who believe, but it hasn’t “come” to the planet in full yet, because we haven’t released it in full yet.

We will talk much more about this in our next article, but any scriptures that speak about the kingdom at Jesus’ second coming (like 2 Timothy 4:1 or Matthew 25:34) are not talking about the arrival of the kingdom, but how the kingdom will be manifested visibly through the whole planet on that day. On that day, we will inherit an entire planet that is part of the kingdom (compare Matthew 25:34 with Psalms 37:9, 11, 22).
