In our last part, we showed that Jesus delivered us from everything we could be afraid of. Therefore, if we are still afraid, we are only afraid because of what we’re not seeing of Jesus’ provision. That is a universal truth that applies to every person, in every situation. You are not the exception. People only fear because of what they’re not seeing about Jesus. That is the only source (Isaiah 26:3).

Some people say that fear is an acronym for “False Evidence Appearing Real.” But that’s not necessarily so. The evidence you’re looking at may be very real. What isn’t real is your interpretation of the evidence. I can prove that to you from scripture.

There are a lot of different labels that people can give to what is perceived as the aftermath of something traumatic happening. I believe that the biggest reason why the emotional effects of an event linger with people for years, is because they have yet to be given a solution to that initial problem. They have yet to be given an answer to that initial question. And so, when life hits them with a problem, and to this day they still don’t have a resolution, the emotional effects linger. Thank God, there is an easy solution in Jesus.

Most Christians understand that fear and worry are not from God. But sometimes, if we experience those things, we end up feeling worried about our worry, if that makes sense. We’re distraught because we know fear and worry are not from God, but your feelings are not a problem.
