Sometimes we have family members, friends, and people close to us that either don’t choose Jesus or refuse large portions of the gospel. It is inevitable that certain people are just not open right now to certain truths. Be that as it may, God has provided something special for you and wants you to enjoy it, regardless of what decisions other people are making.
1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV) …nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
That verse says that the purpose for which God has blessed you with all His spiritual blessings is so that you would enjoy them. There may be people around you that don’t want to hear the gospel right now. On one hand, it doesn’t mean that they never will, but they’re simply not ready right now. But on the other hand, you can’t get focused on the acceptance or rejection of the gospel in other people. You can get so hung up on that, that you stop enjoying the provision that Jesus provided especially for you.
Don’t you understand that Jesus loved you? He had you in mind specifically when He died on the cross. Regardless of who else ever accepts Him or rejects Him, Jesus died to give you access to everything that He has so that you could share in these things together with Him forever. He gave you these things so that you could enjoy them together with Him. We can get so hung up on what other people are doing that we forget to enjoy these things for ourselves.
Lot did this very thing when he lived in Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible says that he grieved his righteous soul by seeing the lawlessness of the people around him (this is referring to their unbelief, seeing as the law of works — the Ten Commandments — weren’t even given yet). Lot got so focused on all the people around him that had rejected the gospel that he wasn’t enjoying the gospel for himself.
2 Peter 2:8 (NKJV) (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
Now it’s true that Lot could’ve spared himself even the temptation to be grieved, if he would have been more careful with the people he hung out with. He chose to go towards Sodom and live there amongst people that denied Christ. So that was his first mistake. But even when we know people that reject the gospel in some way, we need to take our focus off people, and set it on Jesus. When you really see how Jesus has loved you and all that He’s given you, people and the decisions they make, simply cannot compare.
We all want everyone to see the same Jesus that we are looking at, but you can’t set your eyes upon people. You need to keep your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). He has given you richly all things to enjoy. Who He is and what He’s done is enough for you to enjoy yourself, even if you were the only person in the whole world that received it. He is enough for you. He is more than enough.
But when you set your eyes to enjoy what you have in Christ, you’ll find that, not only does it bear wonderful fruit for you, but it also bears wonderful benefits for the people around you, in this life and in the one to come (1 Corinthians 7:14). Even the people around you that don’t know Jesus, are more prone to accept Him, and they will receive fringe benefits, because you focus on Jesus. Therefore, the most helpful, healthiest thing you can do for everyone around you is to focus on Jesus and enjoy Him for yourself.
Worry and concern over someone else does not help them. It actually just takes your mind off of Jesus, which is a hindrance to them and you, not a help. The Bible says that you can’t do the least of things with your worry. The best thing you can do for yourself and everybody else is to enjoy Jesus and remember the wonderful things He’s finished! When you’re enjoying the truth, that allows the Holy Spirit to be supplied and work miracles through you (Galatians 3:5)! So stop feeling an obligation to worry, and start enjoying Jesus again! He’s finished too much, for you to go on worrying about things that He already worried about at the cross!
Luke 12:25-26 (NKJV) And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
So don’t forget to wake up every day and remember the love of God and the good things that He has specifically given you to enjoy. because when you’re enjoying who Jesus is, it bears wonderful fruit for you, and for everyone else around you.

If this blessed you, share this with someone else. More people need to understand this awesome truth.
