What Jesus did for us is meant to manifest in our lives. Whatever you need to see manifest, you can see it! Let me explain:
Everything that Jesus provided us at the cross is a spiritual blessing (at least at first).
Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
There is not a single, solitary physical thing that Jesus provided us at the cross. Every blessing that Jesus provided us through His death, is spiritual and intangible (again, at least at first).
Here’s how it works:
Step 1) Jesus provided the spiritual blessings at the cross.
Step 2) We believe it and all those spiritual, intangible blessings get put inside of us (that’s called “drinking the water,” in John 4:14).
Step 3) As we acknowledge all the good things inside of us, it manifests through us and becomes tangible in this physical world (whether that be a healing, word of wisdom, or some other work of power. That’s called “water springing up” in John 4:14.)
Those three steps are not my opinion. That’s how it works (see our teaching on ‘The Three Feasts’ for more).
This is a very important point to make. Even though everything God provided is spiritual and intangible, deposited inside of us, the purpose of these things is for them to manifest physically. God did not give us spiritual blessings to stay inside of us. The express purpose — that’s right, the express purpose — for everything Jesus provided us is that it would manifest tangibly and physically in your life. There is not one spiritual thing that Jesus gave us that is meant to stay in the spiritual. It’s meant to make physical, tangible change that everyone can see (Isaiah 62:2).
You see, if you just believe that Jesus put every good thing inside of you, that’s only half of your benefits. You’re leaving out an entire 50% of the benefits that Jesus has given you. What do I mean? Well, Jesus did put everything inside of you, but the other half of what you are promised in Christ is that those things will manifest and benefit your physical body and physical life as well. That’s the other half of your benefits!
When you initially believe in Jesus, you’ve got everything you could ever need or want inside of you. But after you’re born again, as you continue to believe, those things inside of you begin to manifest physically. And Jesus told us that we can expect this manifestation in our lives. If we believe, we can have a sure expectation that the glory and power of God will manifest physically in our body in our lives. Here’s where Jesus said that:
John 11:40 (NKJV) Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would SEE the glory of God?”
If you believe and grow in the knowledge of Jesus, He says that you can, in fact, you SHOULD, enjoy a sure expectancy that you will see that glory manifest tangibly in your life.
You’ve got it all inside of you — and that is so important to acknowledge — but you’ve got to know, that’s only half of your benefits! God also wants you to be sure that you can see it all manifest in your life as well!
Now I don’t mean that you only have half of your inheritance. Not at all. You’ve got everything! But you are only enjoying half of the Gospel, if you think that what’s inside of you was meant to stay there! God ALSO wants you to enjoy the sure expectation that you WILL see it manifest in your life! That’s why Jesus died, not just to plant it in you, but that it would spring forth as well (Isaiah 61:11)! It was meant to manifest! What you were given was meant to manifest!
This is the sure expectancy that God wants every believer to have. And it’s the sure expectancy that Jesus died to give you! God is saying that if you will believe what His Son did, you can surely expect to SEE it tangibly in your body and in your life!
So, if you’ve got a problem going on in your life, or even if there’s nothing notable going on at all — whatever it is that you want to see in your life, you can see it! Don’t listen to the bystanders yelling out to you to “think sensibly“ or to “get your head out of the clouds.“ Ignore them. Jesus has provided every good thing for you, and if He provided it for you, you can manifest whatever you want to in your life! Like a kid in a free candy store, if you want it, you can manifest it!
Don’t listen to people that try to limit you to their natural thinking. Don’t let them cheat you of the fruit that God wants you to see in your life. Jesus says that He’s provided you EVERY spiritual blessing that He currently enjoys. So, whatever it is that you need, or whatever it is that you want to see in your life, if Jesus provided it — and I emphasize, if Jesus provided it — you can see it manifest in your life! You can experience any extent of the power of God that you want to experience in your life. If Jesus provided it, it’s yours for the manifesting!
In closing, people will want to tell you, “You can’t see whatever you want in your life, it’s a matter of whether it’s God‘s will or not.” And I would say, there’s truth to that. The problem is, people don’t realize that God already expressed His will toward us 2,000 years ago. Everything that God wanted to give us, He provided at the moment Jesus said “It is finished.“ So we don’t have to be confused about His will.
For instance, we don’t have to ask God if it’s His will to heal us. He already provided it (1 Peter 2:24). It’s a matter of whether you want to believe it or not. We don’t have to ask God if it’s His will to raise our loved ones from the dead. God showed us His will when Jesus died in all of our stead (John 11:25)! We don’t have to ask God if it’s His will that we have an excessive amount of wealth to fulfill every good work. Because like it or not, God already provided the power to it when Jesus was crucified in weakness (Deuteronomy 8:18, 2 Corinthians 9:8).
So, of course, God‘s will is of utmost importance. The problem is, God has already expressed what He wants for us when He provided it at the cross. Now it’s just a matter of whether people want what He gave — if they want to believe what He gave — or not.
We’re not waiting to see whether it’s God‘s will to provide these things. God’s looking at us, asking whether it’s our will to learn from Him and manifest it.
Through Jesus, God already gave you the thumbs up. He wanted to give these things to you. He wants you to manifest them in your life. So what is it that you need? What is it that you want? You can see it all manifest in your life. You can see it all. Just ask Jesus to show you what it is that He already did, and you can see it.
Matthew 8:2-3 (NKJV) And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
