The Music Process: Why AI?
In years past, the Lord would give us lyrics and melodies, but due to lack of manpower and expertise, it would take months to release a single track. With the development of AI, we are now able to take music we’ve written ourselves and simply allow AI to produce it.
The way an artist may hire a band and production team, we’re able to take the songs the Lord gives us and hand it off to an “AI production team.”
The Process
We write the lyrics and melody. We record a track with our own vocals. We then allow AI replace our voice with a fully produced voice, along with instruments that harmonize with our melody. So the lyrics and melody you’re hearing are original to Reform Church.
We believe in art and trust the Lord for creativity (Exodus 31), but our goal is not only artistic expression. Our goal is ministry. In the future, we expect to do this with our own team. We see these songs as “templates” for reproducing in the future. But AI enables us to be a blessing now, with music that truly glorifies the work of Jesus! Enjoy!
