Righteousness

For those who believe in Jesus, you are not a sinner anymore! You do not have a sinful nature. You are as right as God Himself is! And that, not by your works, but through Jesus’ work!

Free From Guilt And Blame

Our sin deserved blame, but Jesus took it all! So God isn’t blaming you anymore! If you are in Christ, your conscience can rest easy, knowing you are now free from all guilt and accusation before God (also see our “God’s Not Angry With You” class).

Just Like Jesus

We are not becoming more like Jesus as believers. We are as much like Jesus NOW as we will ever be. We can only grow in our knowledge, and manifest, how much like Jesus we already are, through the cross!

Salvation From This World (Sin And Death)

Most teach that Jesus came primarily to save us from hell. While we are saved from hell, the truth is, Jesus came to save us from this world and every single problem in it!

Everything Is Finished

When Jesus said “It is finished,” He wasn’t kidding! God never has to provide any good to humanity ever again. Anything that we receive from God today, was already provided once for all, 2,000 years ago!

Our Better Covenant

Everything in this New Covenant is based on Jesus’ work at the cross, not your own! You are not less likely to receive from God when you do something wrong, because it’s all based on Jesus!

God Is Not In Control, Unless We Believe

God has full authority, but God is not controlling everything, neither is He causing the suffering in the world. God’s will is done perfectly in heaven, but if we want His will to be done on earth, that is dependent on our understanding of Jesus.

Receiving From God

Most Christians believe there are different ways to receive from God. This simply isn’t true. We receive from God day-to-day the same way that we first received salvation. No work. No mystery. Jesus provided it, we believe it, we receive.

Faith And Continuance

Learning Jesus for a little while is not enough… you have to keep going! No one has ever been saved or received anything from God by hearing the good news once! There is a growth process before the fruit comes!

Our Words

Confession is typically dismissed or it’s taught as a way that we receive from God, but we receive strictly and solely through learning Jesus. One thing is needful, not two things (Luke 10:42)! But what we say represents what we believe, which is where it’s importance lies.

Giving And Tithing

Our giving and tithing is not a means of blessing from God. Receiving from God only comes through faith in Jesus. Tithing is actually a shadow of new covenant truths! But there are benefits to giving to believers.

Every Need Satisfied

There is no need that the work of Jesus does not touch. It’s not too good to be true. All of our needs can be satisfied — bodily, mentally, emotionally, financially, relationally.

Desire To Know Jesus

Do you feel a lack of desire to know Jesus? The church might say that’s a big problem, but it’s actually no problem at all! If you saw the truth about Jesus, desire would come naturally. The problem is, you don’t know the true goodness of God.

Renewing Your Mind

Jesus already completed everything you could ever need or want! Renewing your mind is simply the process of learning everything that Jesus has already done, and every good thing you already have!

Let Go Of What Holds You Back

Once you’ve tasted that the Lord is good and you desire to pursue Him, let go of everything that holds you back. You’ll find you’re not making a sacrifice. You’re entering into everything you could ever want or need!

God Wants To Teach You Jesus

There are so many different “versions” of the gospel. Which one is true? The Bible says that whichever one teaches what Jesus provided, through His flesh, is the true Gospel — not what you can do for Jesus, but what He did for you!

Truth Over Tradition

There’s nothing wrong with tradition if it’s Jesus-centered and biblical, but part of learning the truth is accepting His word, even if it breaks apart everything you’ve ever heard before.

Walking By Faith, Not By Sight

Who God is and who we are has not been fully manifested. So, if you walk by what you see, instead of going by the word of God, you will walk with the wrong impression!

The Obedience Of Faith

What are God’s commandments? Did you think of the Ten Commandments? Well then you haven’t heard that in this NEW covenant, there is a NEW law. It’s called the obedience of faith.

Loving God

Loving God is nothing more than you believing the love that He demonstrated towards you. You can’t love God with your life. God just wants you to love Him with your mind — that is, to believe Him. Life changing results will follow.

Repentance Is Just Changing Your Mind

Today, the word “repent” is synonymous with turning from sin and changing your actions. But the Bible teaches that repentance is just turning your mind toward Jesus, because you see the goodness of God.

The Fight Of Faith

Christians talk about fighting sin, fighting the power of the devil, or fighting to overcome challenges. All the while, Jesus already fought all of that! The only fight left is a fight against wrong thinking!

Defending the Faith

Many Christians try to prove spiritual truths with physical evidence, in what’s called “Apologetics.” Physical evidence may confirm the truth, but persuading people is much simpler.

Bible Translations

Many don’t realize that certain “translations” of the Bible are actually paraphrases, in which, the author is giving you his opinion on what the verse means, not the actual words of the verse!

God’s Not Angry With You

Judgment for people’s sin already occurred at the cross. God has made peace with the whole world on His end. End time judgment is “the judgment of the Devil and his angels’”, which unbelievers will inherit apart from Jesus — not wrath for people’s actions (related “Free From Guilt And Blame” and “The Heart of God” class).

The Heart Of God

We see punishment in the Old Testament and Jesus taking our punishment in the New. We see work in the Old Testament, but rest in the New — suffering in the Old, but healing in the New. These are opposites, so which one truly represents God?

The Love Of God

God’s love is not demonstrated in physical things like family, friends, or creation itself. God’s love was demonstrated one time, and one time only. And that was when Jesus provided the fullness of His Spirit to us at the cross.

The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

In the Bible, baptism means purification/washing. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a second occurrence to salvation, but in fact IS salvation. Water baptism is a symbol of this.

Transformed By The Spirit, Not Our Work

How much work did you do to become a new creation? None. You just heard the word of God, believed it, and you were instantly made a new creation inside. Why should change on the outside be any harder? It’s not. It’s just as easy!

The Sabbath

(Included in “Transformed By The Spirit…” class) Did you know that the Sabbath is not a day of the week? Resting on a Saturday or Sunday is not the Sabbath. The Bible says that the true Sabbath is observed everyday because of Jesus finished the work!

Circumcision

(Included in “Transformed By The Spirit…” class) Circumcision is the biblical symbol for the day your flesh was given complete rest from it’s work!

Recognizing Your Need For Jesus

Your talents, abilities, and efforts are not needed in the kingdom of God. Actually they are a detriment to you if you trust in them (Php. 3:8). Faith is about recognizing your need and looking to Jesus’ work instead.

Fasting

Is fasting a way to bring your flesh into submission and focus solely on God? There aren’t actually any verses that say that. Fasting has a deeper, more Christ-centered meaning.

Temptation

There are things that can used as temporary help if we are struggling with temptation, but the only way to truly be transformed is by changing our thinking!

Our Authority

Part of being joint-heirs with Jesus is that we share in His authority over all things! God desires that we use this authority to give life to this world. It’s called “Reigning in Life.”

The Revealing

We will not receive anything when Jesus comes back again. There will only be a “revealing” of all that we already have in Christ, for those who have not manifested it fully yet (also see “Just Like Jesus” class).

The New World

All of creation will be made completely new when Jesus comes back, but we ourselves have access to all of the power of that age to come, now. In fact, it is in us.

Life As A New Creation

Since we are already like Jesus, we don’t need to be cleansed, empowered, or saved any further. We just need to learn and walk in the newness we already have!

Following Jesus Where He Went

In John 10, the sheep following Jesus is not referring to us taking direction from Jesus for our life. Following Jesus is actually referring to us following Him into the heavenly things that He entered!

Separate From This World

Separation from the world and holiness is not something a believer develops with works, but something we already have through Jesus (Colossians 1:22). We are cleansed from the defilements of the world, we play by different rules, we have been made different from the rest, through Jesus.

Hearing From God

Hearing the voice of God is just receiving the truth He already put in every believer! Jesus paid for you to hear from Him.

Theology

While the term “theology” can be used in a harmless way, God is not someone that can be studied like a subject. We get to know Him simply through conversing with Him. Those who are most “studious” about God will know Him the least.

Guarding Your Heart

Receiving the true gospel is so important, but keeping and guarding that gospel is equally important. Without knowing how to guard your heart, outside influences can choke out the good word you’re hearing.

Hope (Expectancy)

If you believe what Jesus has done, you can be assured that you WILL see the glory of God manifest in your life. This sure expectancy is referred to as “hope” in most Bibles.

Prayer

Prayer is not how we receive from God. Knowledge of Jesus is the only way to receive from God. Prayer is actually meant to help your faith, which in turn, helps your receiving.

Washing The Feet

The “washing of the feet” in the Bible, is not speaking about a literal washing of our feet. It’s actually represents the renewal of our mind. That’s why Ephesians 6 says our “feet” should be shod with the gospel!

The Temple

Solomon’s Temple was designed to be a detailed schematic of how the church should rest from it’s work and only have their mind renewed by their Shepherd!

The Gifts Of The Spirit

Does Jesus know everything? Can Jesus speak in different languages? Can Jesus heal the sick? The gifts of the Spirit are just Jesus’ beautiful qualities working through us! Nothing strange.

Eternal Life Overview: Healing, Resurrection, And Long Life

Eternal life has nothing to do with an afterlife or heaven some time in the future (1 Tim. 6:12). The Bible says that eternal life is power that Jesus puts IN us, and as we believe, it is manifested to our body in things like healing, resurrection, and long life!

Healing

One manifestation of the life of God in us is physical healing. No, healing is not something that God does for certain people. Healing, as with everything we receive, is something that is bought and paid for, by Jesus (Romans 5:2). Therefore it is sure to everyone who believes!

Resurrection

It’s God’s will for people to live, but if someone dies, there’s resurrection for that! God is not calling people home “at their appointed time.” The appointed time for the death of all humanity was 2,000 years ago, on the cross. With that death fulfilled, there’s no reason why anyone needs to stay dead anymore.

Youth

Another manifestation of the life of God in us is youthfulness — not a youthfulness of years, as if God desired to turn back the clock, but a youth like Jesus has — a body that never corrupts and never changes!

Long Life (Never Dying)

There is not an appointed time when “God calls you home” (which is a euphemism for “God puts people to death”). The physical, bodily death that was appointed to every man, through Adam’s sin (Romans 8:10), Jesus fulfilled at the cross (Hebrews 2:9). Jesus already died our death. We don’t need to repeat it.

Persecution And God’s Defense

We have everything that Jesus has — that includes hatred from this world. Nevertheless, Jesus has provided a New Covenant defense to keep us safe. Blessed are those who bless us and cursed are those who curse us.

God’s Defense Of Us

(Already included in “Persecution And God’s Defense”) God defends New Covenant believers by blessing those who bless us and cursing those who curse us. We are not vulnerable.

Free From The Works Of The Devil

Christians frequently speak about everything the devil is speaking in their mind or doing in their life. They’re certainly is such a thing as the devil, but through the forgiveness of sins, he cannot do anything inside your mind or directly in your body, if you are born again (also see our “The Fight Of Faith” class).

Physical Rituals Overview

Anything earthly is at best, a symbol of Jesus, but at worst, can be a distraction from the truth. It is better to not even take part in a physical ritual if it is distracting from the true Jesus.

Communion (The Lord’s Supper)

Communion is supposed to be a meal to celebrate Jesus’ death — the elements of which (bread and wine) are symbolic and have no significance in themselves. Unfortunately, much of the church has gotten caught in the symbol, instead of the Reality.

Father, Son, And Holy Spirit

The Father is God over all (John 17:3). Jesus is His equal and the exact representation of His nature (Hebrews 1:3). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father and of Jesus (Romans 8:9). And we now share the same Spirit and likeness as the Father and the Son!

Below are symbols that are already included in other courses. They are only included here for reference:

Symbolic Timelines Collection

The historically accurate timelines of the Bible also bear symbols of Jesus. Here are a collection of some of those symbolic timelines from different classes on Reform U.

The Last Days

The Tribulation? It’s not a problem. The Mark of the Beast? It’s not a computer chip. End-time plagues? It’s not God’s judgment on sin. Christian persecution? It doesn’t have to touch you. Most of what you’ve heard isn’t biblical and isn’t Jesus-centered at all.

The Nations That Are Saved

The Bible makes it very clear that there are fringe benefits that even unbelievers can receive when they are associated with someone who does! Potiphar was blessed for Joseph’s sake’s (Gen. 39:5), Laban for Jacob’s sake (Gen. 30:27), and even your unsaved family members for your sake (1 Cor. 7:14)! There are even benefits that unbeliever’s will receive in the age to come. It may take some time to review the biblical data, but it’s absolutely all over scripture!

Power To Wealth

Physical wealth is not a part of the atonement, but the POWER to physical wealth is certainly a part of the atonement (Deut. 8:18)! There is a big difference between the two (also see our “Giving And Tithing” class).

Success And Prosperity

The church typically uses the word “prosperity” exclusively for wealth, but prosperity is like saying “success”. God wants us to prosper in every area of our lives!

Emotions Overview

Your emotions just follow your thinking. If you think things are bad, you’ll feel bad. But if you realize how good you have it in Jesus, your emotions will change automatically (and your circumstance).

Emotions: Fear, Worry, Depression

The root cause of fear, worry, or any negative emotion is misinformation regarding Jesus. Once the truth is present, correct emotions will follow.

Emotions: Shame And Guilt

For guilt related emotions see Free From Guilt And Blame, God’s Not Angry With You, Righteousness, Cleansed Once For All.

Emotions: Inferiority

You can’t feel jealousy, envy, inferiority, or low self-esteem unless you first receive the belief that you have less. If you knew that you are the same as Jesus now, how could you have less? (also see our “Just Like Jesus” class)

Relationships Overview

Strong relationships come from sharing a common understanding of Jesus. A relationship flourishing is hinged on that common understanding.

Relationships: Romantic

Romantic relationships need to start with a common understanding of Jesus and empowering an existing relationship comes from that same knowledge.

Relationships: Friendships

Part of guarding your heart is choosing carefully who you hang out with. Friendships can make or break your knowledge of Jesus.

Ministering To Others

If you’re a believer, you know a lot of powerful truths about Jesus that can be effective in the minds and lives of other people (also see our “Washing The Feet” and “Persecution And God’s Defense” classes)!

Parenting

There are many godly things to do when raising children, but none of them is more important than giving your kids a chance to know Jesus. Everything in their life will fall into place if that is prioritized.

Politics

Knowing the godliness that we have as a gift, through Jesus, directly affects our political views as well!
