SALT
Definition:
Exact definition uncertain. Similar or the same as “Light/Lamp/Brightness” and “Fire.” Therefore, having to do with making manifest or proving the quality of something.
Scripture:
- Salt is not only used synonymously with fire here, but is used in place of the word “burning,” saying, “salted with fire.”
Mark 9:47-49 (KJV) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
- Salt is used in conjunction with light.
Matthew 5:13-14 (KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Deuteronomy 29:23 (KJV) And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
- Salt is used in conjunction with the burning of the food offering (hence associated with fire)
Leviticus 2:13-16 (KJV) And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. VERSE 16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Ezekiel 43:24 (KJV) And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
