I wanted to take this opportunity to share a thought with you regarding your justification.
In John 8 there was a woman caught in adultery and she was brought to Jesus. The scribes and Pharisees were looking to accuse both the woman and Jesus. They brought her to Him, in front of a crowd of people while Jesus was teaching. They said that the law of Moses commanded that this woman be stoned for her sin.
John 8:6
This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
Jesus turned a deaf ear to their accusations in the same way that our Father in heaven turns a deaf ear today.
Revelation 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Because of the cross there is no more just accusation before the Father, toward us. This doesn’t mean that there is no more right and wrong. It means that, as far as the Father is concerned, every sin (wrong) has been paid for by the death of Jesus. So, when we do something wrong, the sin and its punishment have already been taken by Jesus for you on the cross.
Men who had no faith in Jesus, and no righteousness from God, were coming to Jesus to accuse Him. However, since the father of lies can no longer justly accuse men, neither can these accuse, according to the law of Moses. The One who came to see the righteousness of the law fulfilled was standing right in front of them.
Jesus said to those desiring to stone the woman, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” One by one each of the accusers were condemned by their own conscience (not by God, but their conscience).
John 8:9
Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Jesus was left alone. The only sinless One who could have cast a stone at her (according to His saying), did not stone her. Instead, He asked her a great question. “Where are your accusers?”
When you start feeling guilty or condemned for something you have done, ask yourself, “Where are my accusers?” The answer is that there are none! God, the judge of all says that He finds you innocent. He knows that your sin has been paid for. He is a just and fair God that would never condemn anyone after having condemned His own Son for your sins.
If the Father is not condemning you, Jesus is not condemning you, and surely their Spirit in you is not ever condemning you, then you truly have no accusers!
Be sure that you are not unjustly condemning yourself for something Jesus already bled and died for. You are blameless!
