A spin off of the stop motion film “The Little Drummer Boy.” An animation made almost exclusively from autoshapes in a PowerPoint presentation.
If you need some background:
In The Little Drummer Boy story, the boy’s lamb is fatally injured. So the boy seeks council from one of the three kings. He is told by one of the kings to go to the baby Jesus for help. And as the song goes, the drummer boy goes to Jesus and “plays his drum for Him. He played his best for Him.” And in response to the drummer boy’s offering, and because it was given “out of the simple desperation of a pure love,” Jesus supposedly heals the boys lamb (for reference: https://youtu.be/dZvjPCcHI4g).
In contrast to the typical Little Drummer Boy story, our version shows that we do not receive from God because of what we offer, regardless of what our motivation is. We receive from God because of what Jesus offered — not by our works, but through faith in His offering!
