His Post For Your Trauma

Length: 10 minutes

There are a lot of different labels that people can give to what is perceived as the aftermath of something traumatic happening. I believe that the biggest reason why the emotional effects of an event linger with people for years, is because they have yet to be given a solution to that initial problem. They have yet to be given an answer to that initial question. And so, when life hits them with a problem, and to this day they still don’t have a resolution, the emotional effects linger. Thank God, there is an easy solution in Jesus.

There are certainly plenty of negative things that happen in this world. It’s full of them (Romans 5:12). But the only reason, and I mean the only reason, why we can get distressed and anxious over those negative things is because we don’t realize that they are already solved. I don’t blame you for being distressed over the negativity in this world if you haven’t been told that these things have been solved already. What a distressing thing that would be, to see a world full of terrible things, and to think that it was unresolved. That is completely understandable. The part you are missing is that every single problem that you have ever seen, or will ever see in this world, has been completely, and utterly, resolved.

Psalms 34:4 (NKJV) I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

I don’t mean that God has provided a glimmer of sunshine to be happy over in a gloomy world. I mean that the very gloom of the world has been entirely resolved through what Jesus did (John 16:33). Let me give you a quick sampling:

For someone that has died, God has not merely given you a hope of seeing them in Heaven one day. Jesus actually died that person’s death at the cross already so that they could be raised to life again. I mean physically walking around again on this earth, like they just woke up from a nap.

For those that are sick or maimed, Jesus has already fulfilled all the pains and injury of mankind on Himself at the cross so everyone has now been given perfect health and wholeness as a gift. And anyone can receive it, absolutely free. No strings attached.

For those that have been abused, Jesus was already forsaken by God and delivered up to evil men, so that we would never be vulnerable like that ever again. Now, every single person has been given redemption from all the evil in this world if they will just receive it.

For all forms of guilt, Jesus already took the blame and the full brunt of the punishment for everything you have ever done or ever will do. And not because He had to, but because He loved you. And because He took all of this harsh condemnation on Himself, this renders you pure and spotless, with a clean conscience, if you will receive it.

I could go on and on with even more specific scenarios. Suffice it to say that there is not a single problem that you have ever gone through that Jesus did not already resolve, at the cross, two thousand years ago. And we will show you how to receive all these things into your life shortly.

Understanding Resolution Relieves Trauma

Have you ever had a bad dream? And even after you woke up, you were still scared and distressed over that dream? Let me ask you, could you call that traumatic? Yes, on a small scale. You were distressed and fearful over that dream. Now let me ask, was your trauma based in reality? Think about that for a second.

Everything is traumatic and scary if it has no resolution. Even if you have a bad dream, in which you are put in danger, without resolution, that can be traumatic. Even for hours after you wake up, you can still feel shaken up and afraid over something that wasn’t even real. What fixes the trauma over that bad dream? The trauma goes away as you realize that the dream was never real. A bit at a time, as you come to, in accordance with your realization, that trauma fades off to nothing. The understanding that things are actually fine, relieves that trauma effortlessly.

I’m not saying that the bad things that you have experienced or seen in your past didn’t really happen, but I am for sure telling you that your perception of those things was never real. You went through those things feeling that there was not an easy solution to it. You went through those things feeling that they left you vulnerable. You went through those things feeling that there was no help regarding those things. And that would traumatize anyone’s mind. Yet all of those things are completely untrue.

You’ve been living in a dream. You have believed a lie that has told you that there is no solution or resolution to these things, and that is what has allowed trauma to linger. And that scar on your mind will continue to be there until you come out of that dream and realize the truth — the truth that Jesus Christ has already provided salvation from everything in this world. And just like waking up from a bad dream, it is still scary while you still believe there’s no solution, but when you realize the truth, the trauma fades off. It just stops making sense.

Trauma does not have to have any basis in reality, whatsoever. Just like a bad dream. Trauma can exist anytime you believe the problem isn’t solved, or if you believe you are still left vulnerable or without resolution.

For so many people, they have a perception of the world that it is mostly a good place, until life comes around to betray their trust. They didn’t realize that this could happen to them. They are left with a betrayed trust in this world, feeling like problems can just happen to anyone, and there’s no resolution or helping it. That mentality right there is perfect fodder for trauma. That mentality right there is also entirely untrue.

No wonder we are traumatized by things in this world, the way that many so-called “professionals” have educated us. Even many “preachers” have educated us in this absurdity that we call truth.

Jesus didn’t come for no reason. But the way that we preach Him today, it’s as if He came and went, and changed mostly nothing for the here and now. When, in fact, Jesus came to overcome every single problem in this world, no matter what it is.

Understanding Jesus Relieves Fear

If you realized that Jesus has provided the solution to every single one of the world’s problems, trauma which shrivel up and fade away effortlessly. Your trauma still exists because you still believe that what you went through in the past has no resolution. The moment you truly realize, deeply in your heart, that no problem is a big deal anymore because Jesus already provided the fix, your fear and distress would be cast out.

1 John 4:9-18 (NKJV) In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. …He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Verse 18) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

When this verse mentions “love,” he’s not merely talking about the affection of God for you, but rather Jesus himself who came and demonstrated that affection for you by dying for you. Through Jesus, we have the forgiveness of our sins, and we have life, to replace all the death in this world. This verse says that once our mind is perfected in what Jesus has done, that is what casts out all fear.

In those very verses, God is acknowledging that fear will stay if you don’t realize how Jesus has resolved it. God understands that and He’s not condemning you for it (Hebrews 4:15). He is simply saying that your mind needs to be perfected in understanding what Jesus has done for you. And in turn, that will cast out all that fear automatically. It’s not about trying not to feel distressed or anxious. It’s about setting your mind hard on every good thing that Jesus has given you, and all the evil that He took on Himself, so that you wouldn’t have to experience it.

Understanding resolution relieves trauma. Or in other words, as 1 John puts it, “understanding Jesus, casts out fear.”

Receiving It

In closing, people may ask, “If Jesus fixed everything, then why did I experience that thing to begin with? Why do bad things still happen in this world of Jesus fixed it?” The very simple answer to that is knowledge. God cannot work these good things in the lives of people automatically, because we don’t deserve these things of our own works. So, God provided a just way for us to receive from Him, and that is through belief in what Jesus has done. We need to understand and grow in the knowledge of what Jesus provided to us to receive it. That is the simplest and the most profound thing that people need to understand.

Let me put it simply: Jesus deserved only good from God, but He came and took all of the bad upon Himself. Now, although we deserved bad things, we can get all His good things. But for us to receive that, we need to grow in our knowledge of what He did.

So, although Jesus did provide the fix to everything, so many people refuse to believe it or just don’t care. They would rather look to people in this world to help them with their problems then to simply grow in their knowledge, of the solution that Jesus already provided. No one can receive from God except through faith in what Jesus has done. And that is the reason why problems still exist in this world, although Jesus already provided the fix, because there is a severe lack of knowledge of Jesus in this world. In fact, did you know that if everyone understood Jesus fully, there would be no more problems in this world at all. The Bible says this about the earth in the future:

Isaiah 11:9 (NKJV) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD

This article is merely an introduction to the good things Jesus provided. What you need now is training in those good things. You need your mind washed of all the lies you’ve heard before and renewed in the truth. This is why Reform Church exists. Start consuming all this good news that you possibly can. Think about it during the day. Think about it at night. Continue washing your mind with this wonderful truth, and you will grow, and you will know the truth, and that truth will cause you to experience this beautiful freedom (John 8:32).

Jesus already took all your distresses at that cross, at that pole, at that post, so that you could be free from trauma. His post, for your trauma. All this time, all you thought you had was problems. But now, it’s about time you get introduced to the Savior.

If this blessed you, share this with someone else. More people need to understand this awesome truth.
