Home Sweet Home is right here inside of us. Nothing to wait for. Nothing to long for. And not just a foretaste or a sample — it’s all here within us.

Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV) …For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

All of the good things of Heaven are here within us right now, but Heaven hasn’t been given to you to simply stay inside of you. Heaven is also able to flow out of you and change the earth around you. Jesus Himself told us that this is His will.

Luke 11:2 (NKJV) “When you pray, say: …Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Here’s how it works: As you begin to learn what you have inside, your heavenly home within you will begin manifesting from you into this earth, making even this foreign planet around you, look more like home. All of creation actually yearns for what you have within you to manifest, (Romans 8:19), because when Heaven manifests from you, it begins giving life to creation around you as well! You are able, through simple acknowledgment, to start making this world look more like home.

For instance, when the dead are raised again, that’s just you making things look more like home. When the sick are healed, that’s just you making things look more like home. When the grieving rejoice again, that’s just you making things look more like home. Those sweet things about our home — namely, life, peace, joy, no hurt, and no pain — are in you, and are meant to abound forth from you. And when they manifest, they make everything around you feel more “homey.”

Acknowledging Heaven within you, makes it active and effectual through you (Philemon 1:6). So start remembering the sweetness of that country living in you. Start dwelling on the beauty and perfection of home inside of you. And effortlessly, you’ll begin making this strange planet look more like where you’re from. And oh, what a pretty place that is.
